Forged in the crucible of the Swiss Alps, Icelandic volcanism and the urban sprawl of Berlin, MONOGLOT defy easy categorisation. Their sound, a shifting tapestry of textures, ebbs and flows, contracting and expanding with an organic pulse. Subtle sequences blossom into dynamic structures, forging deep connections that resonate on a visceral level. Jazz, post-rock, ambient and minimal music intertwine to create sonic landscapes of breathtaking richness.

Since 2014, MONOGLOT have made their mark with over 100 live performances and four critically acclaimed albums. They've toured across Europe throughout Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, France and Belgium and journeyed to Japan in 2022. Their discography has been hailed as a "post-jazz/prog masterpiece" (The Math Rock Times) and praised for its "daring, free-spirited and fresh" approach (Jazz Thing). "Make" (2020) was hailed as "endlessly rewarding" (Artnoir) and "complex, but excitingly interesting and always unexpected" (Jazzquad). "Resonance" (2021), a collaboration with Grammy-winning engineer Antonio Pulli at the renowned Funkhaus Studio 3, saw MONOGLOT explore the essence of vibration, rhythm, harmony, melody, timbre and intonation, prompting Wolf Kampmann to declare: " ’Resonance’ is more than an album. It’s a mirror to the soul, a step towards self-awareness and ultimately a sound that without providing specific directions hints towards the origin of all sonance ".

Now MONOGLOT are preparing to unveil their fifth opus, a return to their roots where the core elements of alternative jazz, rock and minimal music converge. Expect a sonic alchemy, a distillation of their journey so far, that promises to be both familiar and utterly transformative.
